1. Who can apply for pro bono legal assistance?
Anyone facing financial hardship, or whose matter raises important issues of public interest, may apply. Applications are also accepted via referrals from NGOs, legal aid centres, and community organisations.

2. What types of matters are generally considered?
We primarily assist in cases involving:

  • Access to justice and constitutional rights

  • Unlawful detention or criminal defence (in select cases)

  • Women, child, and minority rights

  • Labour or employment disputes

  • Housing or tenancy-related matters

  • Other matters of significant social impact.

3. What is the cost of pro bono legal assistance?

If your application is accepted, legal consultation and representation are provided free of charge. However, court fees, stamp duty, or third-party disbursements (if applicable) are to be borne by the applicant, unless waived by the firm or supported by a third-party aid organisation.

4. How long does the screening process take?
We typically respond within 7 to 14 working days from the date of receiving a complete application. In urgent matters, we aim to expedite the process wherever possible.

5. Will my application be kept confidential?
Yes. All communications, documents, and information shared with us are handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for the purpose of evaluating and (if accepted) representing your matter.

6. If my application is rejected, can I reapply?
Yes, particularly if there are new developments in your case or additional documentation. However, each application is reviewed independently and at our discretion.

  1. Submit an Application: Provide a brief overview of your legal issue, relevant documentation, and a statement of financial need.

  2. Initial Review: Our team will assess the application to determine eligibility and the feasibility of representation.

  3. Consultation: Eligible applicants will be invited for a consultation to discuss the case in detail.
